If You’re a Federal Employee, You May Now Install TikTok on Your Work Phone Even Though It’s Illegal The Department of Justice has waived enforcement of a federal ban on TikTok for government employees.
This decision allows workers to install the social media app on their work devices, subject to agency discretion and workplace policies.
The ban was imposed by President Biden in 2023 following years of state level restrictions on TikTok use for official business.
